Numerous white to milky quartz crystals are densely intergrown, forming a compact, three-dimensional crystal group. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2091\" data-end=\"2322\">The individual crystals predominantly show clearly recognizable prismatic forms and crystal terminations. Due to their milky cloudiness, they appear largely opaque. The surfaces display a dull to locally vitreous luster.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2324\" data-end=\"2537\">Measuring 15.5 \u00d7 9.0 \u00d7 7.5 cm, the piece belongs to the large cabinet specimen size category. It weighs 1,018 g. The underside has been cut flat so that the specimen can be displayed in a stable position.  <\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1ahth7b\" data-start=\"2539\" data-end=\"2587\">Quartz from the Classic Ploemeur Locality<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2589\" data-end=\"2813\">The Kergantic Kaolin Quarry near Ploemeur is a well-known French locality for quartz.
