This emerald specimen comes from the famous Coscuez Mine in Colombia’s western emerald belt. A vivid green emerald crystal sits on a pale calcite matrix and forms the visual focal point of the specimen.

The emerald reaches a length of approximately 7 to 8 mm and stands out clearly from the calcite through its intense green color. Its exposed position on the matrix allows the crystal and its natural setting to be viewed clearly. The combination of green emerald and pale calcite is one of the characteristic appearances of Colombian emerald specimens.
