Hello and welcome to “Mineralien weltweit” (Minerals Worldwide).

My name is Paul Krause, and I am a geologist and mineralogist. I began collecting minerals as a child, starting with stones I picked up during family hikes.

This led me to study geology and mineralogy at TU Bergakademie Freiberg after finishing school. My great passion for minerals eventually inspired me to establish this online shop.

The photo was taken during a visit to an emerald mine in Chivor, Boyacá, Colombia. I greatly enjoy combining my passion for minerals with travel to distant countries.

I also publish a mineral blog to provide readers with useful and interesting information.
