This colorful miniature specimen displays numerous yellow-green to olive-green vesuvianite crystals on a light-colored matrix that is largely covered by vesuvianite. Several lustrous crystal faces are especially visible in the upper part of the specimen, giving it a lively and varied surface.

The vesuvianite crystals are mostly intergrown and form a dense crystal coating. Individual crystals and crystal sections nevertheless stand out clearly from the matrix. Their strong vitreous luster and characteristic yellow-green color make the specimen attractive from several viewing angles.

The Myrseter area near Drammen is known for yellow-green to olive-green vesuvianite. The appeal of this specimen lies less in a single dominant main crystal than in its intense color, strong luster, and rich crystal coverage.
