This mango quartz crystal group comes from Cabiche near Quípama in the Department of Boyacá, Colombia. Two intergrown, elongated prismatic quartz crystals form a slender group with yellowish-orange areas at the crystal tips.
The coloration is caused by fine halloysite inclusions concentrated in specific growth zones of the quartz. The remaining crystal areas are colorless and transparent. The crystal faces display a distinct vitreous luster.

The crystal group measures 5.8 × 2.0 × 1.0 cm and weighs approximately 20 g. With a length of 5.8 cm, this is a slender small cabinet specimen. The piece was acquired directly from a local miner during a personal trip to Colombia.
